Sepang International Circuit Malaysia named the Champion
of Malaysia Speed Festival Racing Driven by Filipino Race Car Driver Dexter
Daquigan using his Number 981 Mini Cooper. Dexter said that his number one goal
in this year was to place first, it is not luck but it is all about hard work
and dedication; this are the two reasons why I was able to achieve my goal.
Last October 2017 Dexter also wins the Championship
Racing in Classic Mini Championship Asia; likewise Dexter showed that
preparation is the key to success, he had the every right to be confident after
winning the previous races. Dexter's Race car was double check upon teams
arrival a day before its shakedown as anticipated for wet raise, where Dexter
claimed P2 with a best lap of 2:54.727.
There where 37 cars on the race track, Dexter banked in a
good start for the lease making sure to stay away out of trouble and unleashed
a clean race. His other race rivals was Alvin Ong on No.766 and No.320 Thillai
