Nissan Cefiro 1997

The Nissan Cefiro 1997 Model is the only model in Nissan has been sold in one year model. The series of Nissan Sedans like the Sentra, Maxima and California is in the top sales list, but when it comes to a luxury type sedan competing with the Corona in the 90's the Nissan Cefiro is more of Unique style with bigger body and modern lamp style.

I remember one owns by Ms. Gretchen Baretto and not drive by her but a driver. She was young then and we saw her in Greenhills after their Sunday Noontime Show GMA Supershow. You can see the Nissan Cefiro is use by other executive and this number of unit models was imported from Japan with its Unique orders on the left hand drive to for Philippines.

1990 Nissan 300ZX Turbo

I have seen this car sometime in 90's Driven by Ramo Revilla Jr. in Manila, also I have seen Mr. Jose Marie Chan with this Convertible Version in Ayala Alabang in the same year. Nissan 300ZX Turbo was very popular in Japan during those years. It was sold over One Hundred Thousand Units in Japan itself.

In United States Nissan 300ZX Turbo Convertible was fairly in Demand and requesting more Units to be imported from Japan with different colors. In the Philippines it was sold by a single distributor imported directly from Japan however the tire size are not available in the Philippines so the buyers need to make sure they order spare tires more than usual.

The Nissan 300ZX is fast enough to beat other Turbo Sports cars during the 90's and its contenders like the Mitsubishi Eclipse was left behind but the design was more focused on non flexible lights.

1977 Toyota Celica in the Philippines

I have seen this type of vehicle passing by in our streets in Pacita Complex San Pedro Laguna during the 80's. I never knew this is a kind of Japanese Sports Car that every teen and every Professional dreaming to have during those days. I have seen the power and popularity of this car just when i grow, and until know it is popular especially in common racing not only in the Philippines but also abroad.

Now that i have grown i am thinking how to have it for me in the future, the beauty of this car attracts me and as i saw its performance in the the racing world i feel more aggressive to have one of this car in the future. I have seen many Toyota Celica models but most of it the 1977 Model is more than i need than the latest models, i think it is much more easy to buy and also it feels like having an accomplishment in your life if you have one of this sports car. I never like any of 2 doors sports car in my life except any of lamborghini models but i think to have a 1977 Toyota Celica is more realistic for me to have it in my garage.

Toyota Starlet 1982

The affordable sporty look hatchback car of all time in the 80's, although it has limited sales in the Philippines because of distributors, it was first sold in manila in the 2nd quarter of 1982. My uncles neighbor use to have one but bought it as a second hand.

I heard their stories and all their first wish was to have a hatchback car, in the 80's hatchback cars are sporty look and more affordable than sedan sports like lancer's; Others on their wishlist was the ford laser hatchback, and in the province the volkswagen brazilla. The Toyota Starlet are only sold in Manila and Cebu, so other areas near buy got their starlet as a used or second hand after some few years and the other models came but also limited.

The toyota starlet runs on gasoline only and on carborator, it is two doors but convenient for small family or as a teenage or school guy car, beside it has low maintenance cost. The hatchback is a good option for out of town trips like beaches near manila batangas. The features are all standard with 4 speed gear shift and it has AC.

During the late 90's it is more preferred to use on drag races, i have seen it competed with the 1991 galant.

Metal Open Sheet on the Road

It catches my attention seeing this metal sheet on the road. For the U Turn slots you will be luck to hit this sheet and damage your tire to puncture since it might hurt your tire on sideways. The tin cut and unrepaired position also might damage the rims of the wheel. If your way is going straight it might not disturbed you.

I was on the signal then and waiting for the green light, and while waiting my eyes is pointed on the road metal sheet planning to avoid it when i start to run, but the next vehicles on my back might not be prepared to avoid this and everyone is in hurry to catch the green light.

Chevrolete Caprice 1988

As smooth and as comfort as the submarine. You will feel the secure and a luxurious ride on the Caprice Classic 1988. The USA Made Caprice Car is the most strongest of all car body that i have ever seen and experience, one of my friend owns this, while driving he accidentally hit side of the trash van and we never feel anything and there where no damage except for the very minor scratch paint.

This ride is a very relaxing on long drive and even in bad roads too. In Asia, we do not commonly see this type of sedan because roads are smaller the any other States in US. The Vehicle is 1988 model and it has a fully automatic full option type of vehicle, including power windows, locks, defoggers, interment wipers as well as automatic transmission. The strong body and very large compartments are its assets to give luxury comfort for owners with fair price.

This photo was taken 2 days ago, and i believe still more of this Caprice 1988 are available and still strongly running on highways. As per the owner its did not let him spend much on its maintenance and spare parts are liable for many years.

Honda Accord Taxi?

I just thought that Honda never agree to have their vehicles use as a taxi or other public transport to protect their luxury quality. I was just driving along Dharan Highway in Saudi Arabia and saw this Taxi Honda Accord 2011 Model (I think). Well its a great way to attract passengers and to me i do not find any bad way of doing it, its just 1 of a kind that for so many places and so many Taxi Cab, Now i found the Honda Accord Taxi.

I hope to see much of those Taxi units and also in Philippines. Honda Accord 2011 do not have cruise control and most of its big sedan competitors are already equipt with this. The strong body and strong Engine is Honda Accords best Asset and proudly made in Japan. Honda Models of 2013 was opened and Manufactured in North America and some part of USA, so we do not guarantee the Japanese Quality. If you have this model from 2012 and Below of Honda Accord then you are one of the lucky owners.

Harabas - 70s GM

As first and Popular in the Philippines during 70's and early 80's was HARABAS. It is use as AUV or a passenger vehicle in small route commonly in CCP and vito Cruz. Do you know that this car engine was firstly made by GM whish is GM Pilipinas during those old years and later engines was replaced using toyota 3k. The first of its kind in Philippines, but according to old resources, this design was first develop during the war and it is used by American soldiers to travel within Manila Area, since its engine was small it cannot carry any heavy supply and artillaries and only foods.

The vehicle was redesigned and to become an AUV during 70's by Francisco Motors, and until now it some numbers of those are still in the same route in Vito Cruze Manila to CCP in Orange Colored body. In competition with the Ford Fierra and Cimaron of Mitsubishi, it is the first Generation of Pinoy passenger and Family Vehicle, later they made some variants for Family and pick-up, evend during 70s and 80 they have promo of 10% downpayment too...

In 1984, Francisco motors stop manufacturing body of Harabas an instead they come up with a bigger body, but Harabas continuesly suvives its popularity eventhough it has 3k engine from toyota as a replacemeng from GM. Since the Body was very though, it does not need any heavy repair for some damages instead to repaint and stickered.

Instead of being dissolved, the Harabas AUV became more popular in the late 80's because of its unique look and small body in comaring to the passenger jeepneys. Some family who owns the Harabas kept and made it use for small travel.
