Nissan California

During the late 90's Nissan California was very popular in Philippines because of its sporty wagon design. Nissan California's release was named first as distributed in North America competing with wagon sedan American Cars. Nissan California was the only wagon offered in fastback version in relation with Nissan Sunny or also known as Nissan Sentra in Asia.

Nissan California was the extended Sedan Boxtype version from Nissan Sentra. It was launched during 1966 as Datsun 1000 and later the production ends and distributed as Nissan Sentra in variant of Nissan California.

Nissan California and Nissan Sentra is also known in USA and in Mexico it is named as Nissan Tsuru.

Nissan California is a compact model line and larger than Nissan March but not as big as Nissan Bluebird or Nissan Maxima. Although Nissan California has no latest version, Nissan Sentra was produced continuously and still very competitive these days. Nissan California 1989 uses Nissan A engine. In Japan Nissan California is a very special model named Sunny California, and its market target was a private buyers and competition from family vans, because vans are usually designed in long back seat in Japan, Nissan California is design to make passengers more comfortable seating in a luxury car sedan.


Usual Nissan California owners in Philippines was a private group or families, Nissan California wagon attracts Philippine buyers because of its compact sporty wagon design and simple size sedan size not like bigger wagons in USA.
